Ford & Doonan Air Conditioning South West is seeking an organised, professional and customer-focused Builders Liaison Officer to join our team.
For decades, Ford & Doonan has been a trusted name in air conditioning across Western Australia, working with homeowners, builders and developers to deliver high-quality air conditioning solutions for WA conditions. We are looking for someone who can help keep our builder relationships, installation schedules and project communication running smoothly from start to finish.
This role is ideal for someone with strong administration skills, excellent communication, and the confidence to work with builders, supervisors, suppliers, installers and internal teams.
About the role
As our Builders Liaison Officer, you will act as a key point of contact between Ford & Doonan, residential builders, site supervisors and internal departments. You will help coordinate and quote air conditioning requirements for new home builds, track job progress, manage documentation and support the smooth delivery of installations.
Key responsibilities
Liaise with builders, site supervisors and contract teams regarding new home air conditioning installations
Coordinate job information, plans, site updates, scheduling requirements and installation milestones
Assist with documentation, purchase orders, variations, installation notes and builder correspondence
Communicate clearly with customers, builders, installers and office staff
Help resolve scheduling, site access or installation queries in a timely and professional manner
Maintain accurate records in company systems
Contribute to a reliable, organised and customer-focused project workflow
About you
You will be a confident communicator who can manage multiple priorities without losing attention to detail. You will enjoy dealing with people, solving problems and keeping projects moving.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
Experience in administration, scheduling, project coordination, builder liaison or construction support
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good computer skills and confidence working with job management systems, email and Simpro (Training provided)
Excellent attention to detail
The ability to prioritise and follow up tasks across multiple jobs
A professional manner when dealing with builders, customers and internal teams
A practical understanding of residential construction or trades-based work, preferred but not essential
Experience in air conditioning, building or new homes, highly regarded
