About us

We at Burra Fabrication, established in 2019, are a growing business which fabricates & installs a wide variety of metal works using mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Based in our workshop in Pakenham, With Sites based all Around Melbourne our work ranges from structural steel to architectural, handrails, balustrades, and sheet metal within the construction industry. Also including minor automotive works and mechanical works. We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Boilermaker/Metal Fabricator to join us in Pakenham. 3rd and 4th Year apprentices may also apply.

Qualifications & experience

• Cert 3 qualification In Engineering Fabrication
• Proficiency in Mig, Arc & Tig Aluminium/Stainless & Mild steel
• White Card (preferable)
• Forklift licence (preferable)
• Current Manual Drivers Licence (preferable)

Tasks & responsibilities

• Fabricating metal items in our workshop as well as attending sites to complete onsite fabrication and installations to a respectable standard
• Reading and following shop drawings, as well as the ability to work on some projects without drawings
• Using hand tools, oxy torches, and machinery for metal fabrication, cutting and welding tasks
• Identifying and resolving issues promptly to ensure smooth operations
• Working both in a team and independently as required
