About the Opportunity

We now have an opportunity for a Permanent Gardener to join our family at The Village Redcliffe. 

Reporting to the Village Manager you will be an integral part of a small, dedicated team who are responsible for maintaining the beautiful presentation of this Village.

Gardener Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Undertake grounds and garden maintenance, such as mowing, edging, weed spraying, mulching, to the highest standard
  • High level of hedging and garden presentation skills with an eye for detail
  • Knowledge of plants and species
  • Operate landscape maintenance equipment, eg. ride on mower, in accordance with WHS procedures
  • Maintain all machinery and equipment
  • Preventative maintenance of the Village external assets
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as directed by the Village Manager
  • Professional presentation, respectful and positive attitude to liaise with management, team and most importantly, our residents

About You:

Ideally, our successful candidates will have:

  • Previous experience in an outdoor gardening / landscaping role
  • Experience and competency with all relevant gardening tools and machinery
  • The ability to identify weeds, pests, and disease will be highly regarded
  • Experience in applying and handling Chemicals and Fertilizers is an advantage
  • A willingness and ability to provide assistance to maintenance team members when required
  • Willing to take pride and ownership in maintaining all garden and turf areas
  • A current Queensland National Police Check (working with vulnerable people) or ability to obtain
  • Current flu vaccination or be willing to obtain prior to commencement
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate or be willing to obtain
  • A current Driver's Licence 

 

As you will be dealing with the residents of our Village on a daily basis, it is important that you are personable and friendly whilst being able to maintain professionalism.

To be considered for this role, you will be required to think safety first, be a self-starter, be highly motivated, and a team player. 

 Availability needs to be Mon-Thurs, 7am – 4pm and Friday 7am - 11 am
