About Us

We are seeking a skilled Powder Coater/General Factory Worker to join our team at Asteel Powdercoaters in Kardinya, WA.

Asteel Powdercoaters specialises in providing powder coating and sandblasting services to both domestic and commercial customers. We service a range of industries including industrial, electrical, marine, building/construction, automotive, speedway, racing and much more.

About the Role

Full-time position will be offered for the right candidate to commence work early-mid January 2025 (date negotiable).

There will be opportunities for the successful applicant to be further trained on the job in all facets of the powder coating industry within our factory.

Working days from Monday to Friday with the opportunity for additional hours/overtime subject to work demands. Salary above award and negotiable for the right applicant.

General factory duties of the position include:

Assist with powder coating processes.
Cleaning and preparing jobs for powder coating – hanging/racking and de-racking materials.
Powder coating duties (rotational basis) - operate powder coating equipment to prepare and coat metal surfaces.
Performing quality checks.
Wrapping/packing materials.
Capability to productively work in a very active and hands-on role – various physical activities including heavy lifting.
Working with powered tools including sanders, grinders and drills.
Use of a forklift at various times.
Perform other general factory duties as required.

Skills and experience:

Previous experience in powder coating or a similar manufacturing role would be highly regarded.
Understanding of powder coating processes.
Previous experience working in manufacturing and working with powered tools.
Reliable, responsible/cooperative and motivated to work.
Abillity to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
A forklift licence is preferable.
