About the role

Perfmet Engineering is seeking a talented and skilled Metal Fabricator / Sheet Metal Worker to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. This is a full-time position, offering excellent career development opportunities within our growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Fabricating and assembling a range of complex metal structures, components and products to detailed specifications
• Operating various metalworking machinery and equipment, including welding machines, cutting tools, press brakes and folding machines
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly
• Performing quality checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure work meets required standards
• Collaborating with the engineering team to resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment

What we're looking for

• Significant experience as a Metal Fabricator, Sheet Metal Worker or in a similar Architectural Metalwork role
• Strong practical skills in using metalworking machinery and equipment, including welding, cutting, bending and forming
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and work specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve any technical issues
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Relevant trade qualifications or certificates, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
