STRUCTURAL STEEL SITE SUPERVISOR

About the role

Teks Engineering is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Site Supervisor to join our team in Adelaide, SA. This is a full-time position that will oversee the installation and fabrication of structural steel for our construction projects. As the Structural Steel Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of structural steel installers and fabricators
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to direct the team in the installation and fabrication of structural steel components
• Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide updates and address any issues
• Implement and maintain quality control processes to identify and resolve any non-conformances
• Provide hands-on support and guidance to the team as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the project

What we're looking for

• Significant experience (5+ years) as a Structural Steel Site Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and installation techniques, as well as relevant Australian Standards and building codes
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle challenges on site
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating a team to achieve project goals
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g., Welding, Rigging, Dogging)
