The Opportunity
Our client are seeking a highly experienced Construction Director / Licensed Builder to lead the delivery of residential projects across NSW. This role will oversee a portfolio of medium-density and volume housing developments, including detached homes, duplexes, and townhouses.
This is a key leadership position within a growing, vertically integrated development and construction business, offering strong autonomy and long-term career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple residential construction projects
- Manage programme, cost, quality, and safety outcomes across all sites
- Oversee site teams, supervisors, subcontractors, and consultants
- Drive construction efficiency, productivity, and delivery performance
- Manage budgets, procurement, and cost control processes
- Contribute to value engineering and buildability reviews
- Ensure compliance with NCC, Australian Standards, and WHS requirements
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, consultants, and authorities
About You
- 10+ years’ experience in residential construction (hands-on site background essential)
- Current NSW Class 1 Builder Licence (mandatory)
- Class 2 Licence (highly regarded)
- Degree qualified in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline
- Proven experience delivering volume housing, townhouse, or multi-unit projects
- Strong commercial acumen (budgeting, procurement, cost control)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams
- Confident leader with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach
