Carpenter leading Hand - Immediate Start

BAAM Property Group Pty Ltd is a fully licensed building business that has a commercial premises in West Ipswich & Stanthorpe. We are a full scope building and Construction and Maintenance business providing quality residential, and commercial services to our clients in Ipswich & Stanthorpe and surrounding areas.

What you'll be doing

• Undertake all aspects of carpentry & Building work, including framing, formwork, roof installation, and finish carpentry, and building maintenance work

• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise execution of work

• Collaborate with the project team to problem-solve and find efficient solutions to construction challenges

• Maintain a safe and tidy worksite, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations

• The supervision and mentoring of junior team members

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 2 years' practical experience in the construction industry as a leading hand or team leader

• Strong understanding of building materials, methods, and construction techniques

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional worksite

• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and schedules

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Relevant carpentry qualifications or trade certification

• Certificate III Carpentry qualification is required

• Australian citizenship is required for this position
