Project Coordinator – Mechanical Services / Prefabrication
$100,000 - $120,000 + Super + Vehicle Allowance
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Project Coordinator to join one of Australia's leading Mechanical Services Contractors as they continue to expand their rapidly growing prefabrication division.
With a strong pipeline of major healthcare, commercial and infrastructure projects secured, this position offers the opportunity to play a key role in coordinating the delivery of prefabricated mechanical services solutions across some of the country's most significant developments.
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, suppliers, fabrication workshops and site teams, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule from planning through to completion.
The Role Reporting to the Project Delivery team, your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating multiple projects simultaneously across fabrication and site delivery activities
- Developing and maintaining project schedules, trackers and delivery plans
- Monitoring project milestones, deliverables and deadlines
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Coordinating project meetings and maintaining project documentation
- Preparing project reports, dashboards and progress updates
- Tracking project risks, issues and change requests
- Assisting with procurement, purchase orders and vendor management
- Supporting project budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Conducting regular visits to supplier workshops and project sites
- Identifying opportunities to improve project delivery processes and systems
About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, Site Coordinator or similar
- A trade, engineering, construction management or technical background
- Exposure to mechanical services, HVAC, prefabrication, manufacturing, construction or structural steel environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Experience preparing project reports and presentations
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to fabrication facilities and project sites as required
