About The Company

They are a large commercial builder that have been established over 30 years working on projects up to $50 million.

They are a reputable builder and have won multiple construction awards. They deliver project ranging from $5M up to $50M – it could be prefabricated apartment building, aged care, hotels, student accommodation, government and health projects.

They are looking for a self sufficient estimator to be part of their experienced estimating team.

The Role

You will be predominantly prepare quotation and tenders and then ultimately submit tender submission within the deadlines or closing tender dates.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone that wants an autonomous role, who is a self-starter and likes working on interesting and varied projects.

Duties

  • Preparation of bill of quantities 

  • Preparation of quotations and tenders

  • Preparation of tender submissions

  • Preparation of construction methodologies

  • Attending site meetings 

  • Holding meetings with contractors

  • Establishing procedures and policies

  • Developing relationships with clients/architects/suppliers

Skills and Experience

You will ideally have the following skills and experience.

  • Construction Management Degree or equivalent

  • Proven ability to prepare tenders from start to finish including associated tender schedules

  • Residential, Commercial and Hospitality Experience in preparation of tender documentation.

  • 5-10 years estimating experience.

  • Proficient in Cubit, Planswift or Cost X

  • Exceptional communication skills.
