General Manager | Residential Home Builder

Ppl People are proud to partner with a well-established Brisbane-based custom home builder to appoint a General Manager.
This is a pivotal leadership role within a growing business that delivers  high-end custom homes, with capacity and plans to scale significantly.
Reporting directly to the owners, you will oversee the entire front-end operation of the business, leading sales, pre-construction, marketing, people and growth initiatives while ensuring clients receive an exceptional experience from first enquiry through to construction handover.

The Role You will lead a team across Sales, Pre-Construction and Design, including Sales Consultants and Drafting/Pre-Construction staff.
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and mentoring the Sales and Pre-Construction teams
• Overseeing sales estimating, variations, costings, contracts and plan reviews
• Driving sales performance, conversion rates and customer experience
• Managing recruitment, onboarding, HR and team development
• Working closely with owners on business strategy and growth initiatives
• Developing and executing marketing campaigns, promotions and brand initiatives
• Implementing systems, processes and efficiencies to support business growth
• Managing reporting, forecasting and front-end operational performance

• Sales Manager within a residential building business

To be successful, you'll bring:

• Strong leadership experience within the residential construction industry
• A solid understanding of custom home sales, estimating, contracts and pre-construction processes
• Experience managing and developing high-performing teams
• Commercial acumen and the ability to drive business growth
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• A passion for creating exceptional customer experiences
