About the role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint or wallpaper, performing minor repairs, and ensuring high-quality finishes. You will maintain tools, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with the team to complete projects on time. Weekend and weekday availability is required as per business needs.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Preparing surfaces by stripping old paint and wallpaper, repairing woodwork, filling cracks and holes, and sanding for a smooth finish.

  • Mixing pigments, oils, and additives to achieve the required paint colour and consistency.

  • Applying paint, varnish, and stains to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.

  • Hanging wallpaper, ensuring patterns align, and trimming excess edges.

  • Setting up scaffolding and ladders, and covering surrounding areas with drop sheets to prevent paint splashes.

  • Cleaning tools, equipment, and workspaces after completing tasks.

  • Repairing windows and replacing glass panes in metal or wooden frames if needed.

  • Installing and repairing wall and floor tiles when required.

Skills, experience, and qualifications

·       Must have at least 1 year of experience working as a Painter

·       Must have a relevant certificate III level qualification.

·       Time management and organizational skills.

·       Communication skills
