Rainbows Early Learning Centre has been a beloved part of the Singleton community — and now we are taking the next exciting step. We are relocating to a stunning, purpose-built facility designed from the ground up for children, families, and the educators who make the magic happen.

The Roles at Glance

Early Childhood Teacher:

•     Lead a room with play-based, intentional teaching

•     Implement the EYLF V2.0 with depth and creativity

•     Mentor, Role Model and Inspire your room team

•     Lead quality documentation and portfolios

•     Champion child wellbeing and family partnerships

•     Contribute to QIP and self-assessment processes


Assistant Educator:

•     Deliver nurturing, engaging daily programs

•     Support the Teacher in curriculum implementation

•     Build meaningful relationships with children and families

•     Maintain strong documentation and observations

•     Actively contribute to a positive room culture

•     Ensure compliance with regulations and policies


Centre Cook:

•      Plan, prepare, and serve a seasonal menu for children aged 0–5, including morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea

•      Cater confidently for allergies, intolerances, and individual dietary requirements

•      Maintain a clean, organised kitchen that meets all Food Safety Standards and NSW Food Authority requirements

•      Complete and keep up-to-date food safety records, temperature logs, and cleaning checklists

•      Liaise warmly and professionally with educators, leadership, and families about menus and dietary needs

•      Support and uphold the centre’s policies on nutrition, hygiene, and child safety at all times


Qualifications:

·       Early Childhood Certificate 3 or Diploma ACECQA Approved qualification or working towards 50% + completed

·       Bachelor Early Childhood Education and Care (ECT Role)

·    Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Centre Cook)

·       First aid, CPR and asthma/anaphylaxis training

·       Child Safe Training Geccko completed

·       NSW Working with children check

•       All applicants must hold a current, valid NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to commencing employment. Employment is strictly conditional on WWCC clearance.

•       Shortlisted candidates will be required to declare any relevant criminal history, child protection findings, or disciplinary proceedings as part of the selection process.

•       We conduct thorough professional reference checks specifically focused on conduct with children, professional boundaries, and suitability to work in a child-related role.

•       All interview questions include child safe and values-based components to assess candidates' understanding of child protection responsibilities.

•       New employees are required to complete Rainbows Early Learning Centre's Child Safe Induction and uphold our Child Safe Policy, Code of Conduct, and Mandatory Reporting obligations.

•       We require evidence of current child protection training (in line with the NSW Child Protection Update requirements).
