Centre Cook - Early Childhood Education and Care
Are you passionate about creating nutritious meals and making a meaningful difference in children’s health and wellbeing? Communities at Work is seeking dedicated Cooks to join our Early Education and Care team.
In this role, you’ll prepare wholesome, seasonal meals guided by our carefully developed menus that nourish young minds and bodies every day.
This is a casual position working across our 10 ECEC services as required on Mondays to Fridays, offering excellent work-life balance within a warm and supportive environment.

What We Need from You
Essential
A Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration with card
Minimum Cert IV in Cookery
Experience with cooking for children and/or large numbers of people
Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain)
First Aid Certificate
An understanding of an Early Education and Care Centre’s operations.
Available to work from 7.30am Monday to Friday
Desirable
Diploma in Hospitality
Safe Food Handling courses
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work efficiently independently as well as part of a team.
Demonstrated strong communication and people skills
