Mechanical Engineer - Cohuna

Position Available: Full Time Mechanical Engineer – Cohuna, Vic.

We are seeking a motivated and responsible person to utilise their engineering skills, to progress new projects across our business that support our quarry operation to build our available reserves of rock, sand and river gravel. Based in Cohuna this full time role will support the Engineering team to design, build and commission plant upgrades, repair works and greenfield engineering projects across Mawsons’ operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities Include

• Design plant for new plant upgrades and maintenance works.

• Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards.

• Review plant design and operation.

• Conduct risk assessments for designs, plant and associated processes.

• Manage project schedules in consultation with Engineering Manager, Operations and Plant Managers.

• Provide engineering support across all sites.

• Consult with all stakeholders for optimum outcomes.

• Develop detailed drawings including plant layouts, manufacturing drawings and installation drawings.

Criteria

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer, preferably with quarry and/or mining experience.

• Minimum post qualified experience of 5 years plus.

• Ability to manage, progress and deliver engineering design projects.

• Proficient in CAD programs, preferably in SolidWorks.

• Experience in the design process from concept to commissioning/sign off.

• High level communication and team working skills.
