We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our management team. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading engineering operations, overseeing project delivery, improving operational performance, and supporting the ongoing growth and strategic development of the business.
Key Accountabilities:
· Designing and reviewing mechanical equipment, machinery, components, and systems for industrial and infrastructure projects
· Developing engineering specifications and determining suitable materials, equipment layouts, system capacities, and operational requirements
· Managing and coordinating engineering projects, including labour allocation, procurement of materials, plant, and equipment delivery
· Analysing operational performance, workforce utilisation, production schedules, and maintenance data to improve efficiency and productivity
· Establishing and implementing engineering standards, quality assurance procedures, safety policies, and maintenance programs
· Conducting inspections, testing, and performance evaluations to ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently and safely
· Coordinating maintenance schedules, system upgrades, and engineering improvements across multiple projects and operational sites
· Reviewing workflows, operational procedures, and project delivery processes to identify areas for operational improvement and cost efficiency
· Providing technical guidance and leadership to engineering and operational staff
· Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers, and senior management regarding engineering solutions, project progress, and operational requirements
· Assisting in business planning, budgeting, strategic development, and overall operational management of the company
· Ensuring all engineering activities comply with Australian standards, engineering principles, and workplace health and safety regulations
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field
· Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience
· Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, plant operations, maintenance, and project management
· Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
· Ability to manage multiple projects and operational priorities simultaneously
