Mechanical Engineer – HVAC Projects

APAC FM have been engaged to source a Mechanical Engineer / Estimator with 2-3 years of relevant industry experience to join one of our national clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking to develop their career within a supportive and expanding business. You will work closely with Project Managers and the State Manager, gaining exposure to all stages of project delivery, from tendering and estimation through to project support and stakeholder coordination.

What the Day to Day looks like:

• Support Project Managers throughout the full project lifecycle, from project award through to completion.

• Assist with preparing estimates, pricing submissions, and tender documentation for new project opportunities.

• Liaise with builders, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.

• Attend occasional site visits to support project teams and gain exposure to HVAC installations and project delivery.

• Coordinate project documentation, review drawings and specifications, and assist with planning and procurement activities.

• Work closely with Project Managers and the State Manager, gaining exposure to project strategy, commercial operations, and client management.

• Provide technical and administrative support to ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope.

• Develop a broad understanding of HVAC project delivery through hands-on involvement across multiple project stages.

What you need to apply:

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer.

• Approximately 2–3 years' experience within HVAC, mechanical services or building services.

• Strong communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders.

• A proactive attitude, openness and willingness to learn - every day is a school day!

• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Desire to build a long-term career within project delivery and HVAC construction.
