MEPTEC Engineers is a growing building services engineering consultancy specialising in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire engineering design for commercial, industrial, retail, hospitality, healthcare and education projects across Queensland and New South Wales.
We are a construction-focused consultancy that works closely with builders, contractors and developers to deliver practical, cost-effective engineering solutions. Our services include mechanical services design, 3D Point Cloud scanning, BIM/Revit modelling, CFD analysis, commissioning support and technical due diligence.
As a growing business, we offer graduates the opportunity to work directly with experienced engineers and gain exposure to real projects from concept design through to construction and commissioning.
We are seeking a motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our Brisbane office in Underwood.
Working alongside experienced engineers, you will assist in the design and documentation of mechanical building services systems across a wide range of projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with HVAC system design and documentation.
Performing engineering calculations for air conditioning, ventilation and chilled water systems.
Preparing AutoCAD and Revit drawings.
Assisting with equipment selection and technical assessments.
Undertaking site inspections and attending project meetings.
Supporting commissioning and defect rectification activities.
Coordinating with architects, builders, contractors and other consultants.
Assisting with the preparation of reports, specifications and tender documentation.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (completed or nearing completion).
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Exposure to Revit is advantageous.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A genuine interest in HVAC and building services engineering.
Mentoring from experienced building services engineers.
Exposure to a wide variety of commercial, healthcare, retail and industrial projects.
Training in HVAC design, Revit, CFD and industry software.
