We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design, development and testing of our mechanical and electromechanical systems. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small, hands‑on engineering team building next‑generation electric agricultural machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for new and existing agricultural equipment.

  • Assist in the development and integration of control systems, sensors and motors, including firmware for electric motor controllers.

  • Create and interpret technical drawings and specifications using 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar).

  • Conduct rigorous testing and performance analysis of prototypes and finished products to ensure they meet design requirements and safety standards.

  • Support prototyping, fabrication, assembly and testing of new designs, including welding, machining and equipment setup.

  • Collaborate on firmware testing and performance evaluation of motor controllers in coordination with external suppliers.

  • Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing processes, quality control and product optimisation.

  • Contribute to design documentation, safety assessments and technical manuals.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical design, product development or electro‑mechanical systems integration.

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor).

  • Demonstrated experience with electro-mechanical or mechatronic systems, including an understanding of motor control principles and embedded systems.

  • Practical, hands-on skills in workshop fabrication, including welding and mechanical assembly.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities for analysing system performance, troubleshooting failures, and optimizing designs for efficiency and safety.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.

  • Knowledge of agricultural or industrial equipment design, with an understanding of standards for quality control, installation, and maintenance.
