About the Role

AME is seeking an early-career Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Plant Compliance Solutions team. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior engineer looking to build a career in plant compliance, design verification, and regulatory services. You will support the delivery and expansion of our key compliance services aligned with the WHS Regulations 2022, working closely with Tier 1 clients across the resources and industrial sectors.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support plant and design registration services in accordance with WHS Regulations 2022.

  • Assist with third-party design verification and design registration submissions.

  • Manage crane & lifting equipment load testing services.

  • Liaise with regulators (including LGIRS) to facilitate compliant and efficient plant design and registration approvals.

  • Provide practical guidance and solutions to clients on rectification of non-compliances identified through plant inspections.

  • Support delivery and coordination of pressure relief valves (PRVs); pressure gauges; and compliance signage, stickers, and labelling.

  • Undertake site and maintenance systems audits and develop solutions to improve compliance outcomes for clients.

  • Support continuous improvement of internal systems and processes.

Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer within the resources or heavy industry sectors.

  • Understanding of the Work Health Safety Act 2020, Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 and Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 2022.

  • Experience in delivery of site-based audits or inspections.

  • An understanding of pressure relief valves and pressure gauges.

  • Experience with SAP or Pronto (desirable).
