A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Head Chef with extensive experience in running and managing a kitchen team
Hotel located in Gawler is seeking a Head Chef.
It is an excellent career opportunity to lead a team to create an exceptional food offering, delivering professional service and an excellent work environment.
You will work closely with our Executive Chef for menu planning and support where needed
Key Responsibilities:
You will run an efficient kitchen by consistently looking to improve the menu, producing quality food.
Development and implementation of menu
Inspire and energize your team to be the best they can be.
All training and development of staff as well as performance management
Maintain strong product knowledge of menu items,
Ensuring strict food safety standards, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques are established and monitored.
HACCP certification is required to maintain food safety standards
Effectively manage the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, food cost, portion control, labour cost, productivity, and wastage.
Salad/Veg bar experience an advantage
About You:
Held Head Chef/ Sous Chef role prior
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a Head Chef or Sous Chef role is required
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of staff
Excellent attention to detail and a great palate.
Adaptable to changing situations while maintaining the highest quality of product and other established standards.
Proven ability to maintain safety standards.
Australian citizenship is required for this position
