The Glen Hotel is seeking a Casual Functions Chef to join our award-winning venue in Eight Mile Plains. We're an all-encompassing destination featuring our Deck Bar, Charles Baker Coffee & Donut Shop, Lily Restaurant, Gaming Room, 4.5-star accommodation as well as 5 diverse event spaces and a drive-thru bottle shop.

The Glen is an independent venue, owned by the same family for over 62 years. We are an essential part of our local community, and our team has a genuine passion for hospitality — creating a place where customers feel welcome and comfortable, with a focus on delivering exceptional service alongside our strong food and beverage offerings.

About the Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced Functions Chef who possesses a positive and motivated work ethic. With over 800 events per year, this is a fast-paced and rewarding role for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment. This position requires availability across a 7-day rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Experience, Skills & Attributes:

Experience as a Functions or Events Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced establishment
Ability to produce and deliver high-quality food consistently across a large range of events and functions
Strong knowledge of banquet and buffet-style food production and plating
The passion and drive to succeed and maintain high-quality dishes to our company standards
Strong work ethic and attention to detail in all areas of your work
Impeccable presentation, hygiene, and grooming standards
Availability to work a rotating roster, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
