About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cook/Chef to join our team at The Shamrock hotel Echuca', a renowned restaurant located in the vibrant riverside town of Echuca, Victoria. As a full-time Cook/Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious meals for our customers in a fast-paced and collaborative kitchen environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking a diverse range of dishes from our menu, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation

  • Assisting in the planning and development of new menu items, providing input on flavour profiles and dish composition

  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen workspace, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of meals

  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior kitchen staff, sharing your expertise and culinary skills

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cook or Chef in a fast-paced restaurant, hotel pub and catering environment

  • Ability to work effectively in a team, with excellent communication.

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene

  • Passion for creating delicious, visually appealing meals that delight our customers
