About the role

Vivo Palm Cove is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join their dynamic culinary team. As a key member of the kitchen leadership, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. What you'll be doing

Assisting in overseeing a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality dishes in a timely manner
Developing and implementing new recipes and menu items that showcase seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients
Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen
Collaborating with the front-of-house team to enhance the overall dining experience

What we're looking for

A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar senior culinary role within a high-volume, fast-paced quality hospitality environment
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse kitchen team
Proven track record of creating innovative, visually appealing and flavorful dishes
Passionate about using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and sustainable cooking practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the front-of-house team
