Last Chance Tavern is seeking an experienced and motivated a la carte Cook or Chef to join our team in South Hedland, Western Australia.

This is a full-time position and can be for 5 to 6 day a week roster once agreed by mutual agreement.

Accommodation will be provided for the right candidate.
Wages is negotiable based on working hours, experience, skills, and qualifications.

Please note: This is not a FIFO position, however return trip to any Australian capital city will be paid every 6 months.

About the Role

You will be responsible for preparing and cooking quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the day-to-day operations of our busy kitchen.

Key Duties

• Prepare and cook meals to a high standard.

• Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control.

• Follow food safety and hygiene requirements.

• Assist with stock control and stock rotation.

• Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant.

• Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Cook or Chef.

• Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations.

• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work under pressure.

• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred).

• Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.

• Food Safety Certificate preferred.

Additional Information

The successful applicant will be required to complete a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test.
