Head Chef – Lead the Culinary Team at Our Club
Salary - Attractive and negotiable, based on experience
We're seeking an experienced, motivated Head Chef to take charge of our club's kitchen operations and deliver an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a busy club environment and takes real ownership of their team, their food, and their results.
What You'll Bring
Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Head Chef, ideally within a club, pub, or high‑volume venue
Strong leadership and ownership of the kitchen and kitchen staff
Flexibility to adapt to changing service periods, functions, and club events
Hands‑on approach — you lead by example on the pass and in prep
Excellent communication skills, working closely with management, FOH, and your brigade
Full responsibility for ordering, stocktakes, and stock control, ensuring accuracy and cost efficiency
Budgeting and financial oversight, including food cost management and waste reduction
Rostering and staffing, ensuring the kitchen is well‑resourced and operating smoothly
Certificate III Commercial Cookery qualification required
Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate required from commencement
Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
Your Key Responsibilities
Oversee all kitchen operations, from daily service to large club events and functions
Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
Develop menus that suit our members and seasonal offerings
Build a positive, motivated, and professional kitchen culture
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and club standards
Work collaboratively with management to meet financial and operational targets
