MYOHMY Cafe Brendale is seeking an experienced Chef / Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

We are a busy café located at The Sheds in Brendale, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee, beverages and fresh café-style meals. We are looking for someone reliable, organised and confident working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

This role will suit a chef or experienced cook who can assist with daily preparation, service, food quality, stock control and general kitchen operations.

About the role

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

Preparing and cooking breakfast, brunch, lunch and café menu items

Assisting with daily kitchen preparation and service

Maintaining consistent food quality, portion control and presentation

Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards

Supporting stock rotation, ordering, storage and wastage control

Keeping the kitchen clean, organized and ready for service

Working closely with the café manager and front-of-house team

Assisting with menu ideas and seasonal specials when required

Supporting junior kitchen staff and kitchen hands during busy periods

Skills and experience required to be considered for this role, applicants should have:

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen

Experience in café, breakfast, brunch or casual dining service preferred

Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods

Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements

Ability to follow recipes, procedures and kitchen standards

Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude

Good communication and time management skills

A relevant commercial cookery qualification is preferred; applicants with strong practical kitchen experience will also be considered.
