We are seeking a highly experienced Thai Cuisine Chef who can work independently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen. Must have at least 2 years in a Thai restaurant and be ready to run the kitchen solo during peak hours. Only apply if you're confident, fast, and truly know Thai cooking.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Thai dishes, including stir-fries, curries, soups, and grilled items.
Develop and create new menu items that reflect the essence of Thai cuisine.
Ensure that food quality and presentation meet our restaurant's high standards.
Manage kitchen operations, including stock control, inventory, and food costs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring consistency in food preparation and presentation.
Collaborate with the restaurant management to maintain high standards of food service.
Monitor and ensure that portion sizes and presentation are consistent with our brand’s requirements.
Work closely with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef specializing in Thai cuisine (preferably in a busy restaurant environment).
Strong knowledge of traditional Thai cooking techniques and ingredients.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Good communication and leadership skills to supervise and guide kitchen staff.
Passionate about food with attention to detail in both preparation and presentation.
Knowledge of food safety standards and ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certification is preferred.
