About Us

Oliver Brown is an established Australian café and dessert franchise, delivering high-quality food, beverages, desserts and customer service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our team on a full-time basis.


Key Responsibilities

o Preparing, cooking and presenting café-style meals, desserts and menu items

o Planning and organising food preparation and kitchen workflow

o Monitoring food quality, portion control and presentation standards

o Assisting with menu development and recipe consistency

o Managing stock rotation, ordering and inventory control

o Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations

o Supervising and supporting kitchen staff in daily operations

o Working efficiently in a fast-paced team environment

o Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements

o Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils appropriately

o Assisting other kitchen staff and cooperating with team members to ensure efficient service

o Supporting kitchen operations for functions, events, and seasonal promotions



Requirements

Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate IV, Diploma or equivalent)

Minimum Certificate IV level qualification in Commercial Cookery is required for this position

Minimum 2 years of relevant Chef experience required

Commercial kitchen experience is essential for this chef role

Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen operations

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment

Strong organisational skills and a positive team-focused attitude

Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high food standards
