About the Role:

We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to be second-in-command in our kitchen, supporting our Head Chef in delivering an outstanding dining experience for our residents at  Kanwal Springs Care Community. Hands‑on culinary role focused on producing nutritious, high‑quality meals for older residents while supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen. The role blends cooking skill, food‑safety compliance, teamwork, and empathy.

What You'll Do:

✔️ Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team and managing daily operations.

✔️ Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals that meet resident dietary needs and preferences.

✔️ Help maintain the highest standards of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and compliance.

✔️ Step up and lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

✔️ Contribute to creating a dining experience that brings joy to our residents.

What You'll Need:

✔️ Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.

✔️ Experience as a Chef, with some supervisory or leadership exposure.

✔️ Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

✔️ A passion for food and a genuine desire to make a difference in aged care.

✔️ Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.

✔️ Willingness to complete:

  • Pre-employment medical
  • Police check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
