Grant Smillie's Marmont Bar is looking for a Senior Sous chef to help lead, and inspire an amazing and large kitchen team. Marmont focuses on fresh produce, has close relationships with suppliers, rotates the menu seasonally, and strives for the best product to be on the plate. We are a Californian inspired Eating & Drinking House located on the Crown riverwalk.

Job Description:
As the Senior Sous Chef at Marmont, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef in running a smooth and profitable kitchen operation. You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of high-quality dishes, and ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate. Your creativity and passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients will shine as you help develop and execute a menu that celebrates the best of Californian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef and Executive Chef in menu development and kitchen management.
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

2 years experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
