Head Chef

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our dynamic team at Luna's Garfield in Garfield VIC 3814. This is a Full Time Salaried role.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a variety of delicious meals as per our restaurant's menu

• Ensuring all food items are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards

• Managing the kitchen team to maintain efficient and organised kitchen operations

• Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

• Menu development and costings for all dishes on an ongoing basis

• Taking ownership of the KPI's your department is responsible for as required by the business

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Head Chef, minimum cert 4 with 2 years experience

• Enthusiasm for this industry, we care about every aspect of our customers experience, and so should you. Together we can help each other achieve more than just good food, we provide our community with a space and a reason to meet up.

• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities

• Passion for creating high-quality, innovative dishes

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, utilising your time during quiet periods to prepare ahead, and be ready to kick goals when the next wave of customers come in.

• Australian work authorisation is required for this position

• Current Food Safety Supervisor certification is required
