TASI Restaurant is located within the new luxury Moanalei Villas resort in Samoa, offering a contemporary island dining experience focused on fresh local ingredients, elevated Pacific-inspired cuisine, and exceptional guest service.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and help shape the culinary identity of one of Samoa's growing hospitality destinations. This is a unique opportunity to combine career growth with the lifestyle and beauty of the South Pacific.
The successful candidate will oversee all kitchen operations, menu development, food quality, staff leadership, stock control, and service standards across both restaurant and in-villa dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily kitchen operations
Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
Develop and update menus in collaboration with UK Chef Monica Galetti
Create seasonal, event, and in-villa dining menus
Train, supervise, and support kitchen staff
Manage food costs, ordering, and inventory control
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
Work closely with restaurant management to deliver exceptional guest experiences
Support private dining, functions, and special events
About You
Proven experience as a Head Chef or senior kitchen leader
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a Head Chef or senior kitchen leader in a restaurant, hotel, or resort environment
Strong culinary creativity and leadership skills
Experience in menu planning and kitchen management
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
Resort or luxury hospitality experience highly regarded
Open to relocating and embracing island life in Samoa, with the ability to adapt positively to living and working in a remote Pacific environment
What We Offer
Competitive salary package of AUD $100,000 – $120,000 per annum (gross), depending on experience and suitability
Initial 12-month contract with opportunity to extend
Return international flights to/from Samoa
Private offsite accommodation provided
Shared company vehicle available for work and reasonable personal use
Meals provided during working shifts

Working Hours
This is a full-time salaried management position requiring flexibility across evenings, weekends, public holidays, and peak operational periods.
