Location: Castletown, Western Australia.
Employment Type: Full Time 38 hours per week
Salary: AUD 80,000 – AUD 85,000, depending on calibre of applicant plus super
SEASIDE CAFE & RESTAURANT PTY LTD is a family-owned restaurant is seeking a passionate, and experienced Cook to join our team in the regional area of Western Australia.
Major Tasks and Duties:
· Daily food preparation - clean, chop, peel, measure, and check freshness and quality.
· Cook dishes to menu.
· Plate food attractively with consistent portions.
· Collaborate with chefs/managers on new or improved dishes.
· Estimate ingredient quantities to control costs and reduce waste.
· Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment safely.
· Monitor cooking times or temperatures for quality and food safety.
· Handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
· Manage stock: track levels, rotate, inspect deliveries, report shortages.
· Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house teams for smooth service.
· Assist head chef with daily kitchen operations
· Train or guide junior staff if required.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
· A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
· Proficiency in cooking techniques, flavour profiles, and food presentation.
· Self-motivation and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
· A keen attention to details and a strong commitment to food quality.
· Precision in following recipes, portioning, and plating to maintain consistency.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills to work in a busy kitchen.
· Understanding of hygiene standards and regulations.
· A valid food handling certificate.
