About BASK
Located in the heart of Peregian Beach, Bask Restaurant is a two Chef-Hatted paddock-to-plate restaurant focused on seasonal produce, refined coastal dining and old-school hospitality. Known for our renowned Long Lunches, curated wine events and warm European-inspired dining experience, BASK celebrates the Sunshine Coast’s exceptional local produce through a seasonal and creative menu.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Cook to join our growing kitchen team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with our chefs to assist in the preparation and service of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced fine dining environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard
Assisting with mise en place and daily kitchen preparation
Maintaining food quality, presentation and consistency
Following food safety and hygiene procedures
Assisting with stock rotation and minimising waste
Working collaboratively within a professional kitchen team
Supporting service during lunch, dinner and special events
Skills and Experience Required
Minimum a year’ experience in a professional kitchen
Experience working in busy restaurants or fine dining venues preferred
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
Passion for seasonal produce and quality cooking
Relevant commercial cookery qualification preferred
