We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen and oversee all aspects of food preparation and service in our busy Italian restaurant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on culinary professional with a strong background in authentic Italian cuisine, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

*Lead, train, and manage the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.

*Develop and execute menus featuring traditional and contemporary Italian dishes.

*Oversee daily kitchen operations, including preparation, service, stock management, and ordering.

*Manage food costs, labour costs, and kitchen budgets to achieve financial targets.

*Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.

*Maintain quality control and consistency across all menu items.

*Work closely with management and owners to enhance the dining experience and drive business growth.

*Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff to build a strong and motivated team.

*Monitor inventory levels, supplier relationships, and purchasing requirements.

Essential Requirements

*Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a Head Chef role within an Italian restaurant.

*Strong knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine, including fresh pasta, sauces, seafood, meat dishes, and pizzas

*Demonstrated experience in menu creation, costing, and kitchen management.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Sound understanding of food safety standards and HACCP procedures.
