Are you a creative, driven culinary leader ready to take your skills to next level?
Paradiso Airlie Beach is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our leadership team.
We are looking for a chef who takes ownership, leads by example, and can help drive standards, consistency, and accountability across a busy operation.
Paradiso operates multiple foods outlets and experiences significant seasonal volume. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to support kitchen operations, staff development, food quality, compliance and service execution.
What You'll Do:
Run daily services, maintaining consistency, quality, and excellence.
Manage and mentor kitchen team, ensuring strong performance and high morale
In the absence of the Head Chef, oversee food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP compliance
Collaborate with management on rostering, ordering, and cost control
Innovate and elevate the dining experience at every opportunity.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in fast-paced, high-quality environments
Minimum of 1-2 years of Sous Chef experience required
Skilled in managing kitchen teams and venues
A passion for food, innovation, and hospitality
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Food Safety Supervisor certification required
Must have Australian work rights
