About the role

The Marina bar is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Cook to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. We will have a minimum of 3 shifts available per week, with more for the rgiht person. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant hospitality environment located in right on the Noosa Marina. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining the culinary standards that define our establishment. This casual position offers flexibility whilst allowing you to be part of a dynamic team committed to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Key responsibilities

  1. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards

  2. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, equipment and cooking stations

  3. Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met in accordance with health regulations

  4. Work efficiently during service to meet order times and maintain food quality

  5. Collaborate with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery

  6. Monitor stock levels and alert management when supplies need replenishing

  7. Follow all recipes and plating instructions to maintain consistency across dishes

  8. Respond professionally to feedback and adapt to changing menu requirements


What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience working as a Cook in a hospitality or restaurant setting

  2. Minimum of 6-12 months cooking experience in a professional kitchen environment

  3. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary best practices

  4. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

  5. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

  6. Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  7. Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods

  8. Flexibility and willingness to work casual hours, including evenings and weekends as required

  9. A passion for quality food and delivering great customer experiences

  10. Relevant food handling certification or willingness to obtain it

  11. Must have Australian work authorisation at the time of application
