THIS ROLE/LOCATION
An exciting opportunity to come on board to showcase your culinary skills. We are looking for full-time and casual Chef de Parties who are keen to learn and grow in their career and become a leader in the kitchen!
This position is based at the Sydney International Airport.
You’ll be required to work a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, depending on operational needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Chef de Partie (Cook Grade 5, Level 6)
Responsible with assisting Head Chef & Sous Chef with preparation of food prior to service
Ensure individual section is ready to meet daily functions and special requirements
Ensure the effective and efficient preparation of all food items and making of orders
Be actively involved in daily service cooking and serving menu items in line with company standards
Monitor and train staff on product knowledge, especially with new menu items, to maintain high standards
Inform the Head/Sous Chef of any shortfalls in stock or orders needed for the next day
Ensure adequate stock is on hand, and daily prep is completed to make the full menu offering available while avoiding waste
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1 years’ experience as Chef de Partie and/or culinary certification
Proficient across all kitchen sections with strong cooking and portion control
Calm, efficient, and effective under pressure
Fast-paced commercial kitchen experience
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (NSW)
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene
Ability to contribute to seasonal menu planning
