Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate Chef/Cook to join our Riverstone Campbell St (72 places) team. In this role, you’ll design and prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals that meet dietary requirements, while fostering healthy eating habits. A Food Safety Supervisor certificate is mandatory for this role.

This is a unique opportunity to have a meaningful impact in a brand-new centre, supporting children’s wellbeing through food, while being part of a collaborative and passionate team.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 78 children daily.

  • Cater to dietary needs, allergies, and cultural preferences.

  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation.

  • Collaborate with educators to promote healthy eating and nutrition education.

  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.

  • Order, manage, and rotate stock efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience as a Chef/Cook, ideally in childcare, school, or similar environment.

  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate (mandatory).

  • Strong knowledge of nutrition for children.

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

  • Positive, team-focused attitude with commitment to children’s wellbeing.
