Pastry Chef

Our guests and our associates are at the heart of everything we do. In Australia, Pan Pacific Hotels Group owns and operates six hotels including Pan Pacific Melbourne, which is conveniently located in the heart of South Wharf providing easy access to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Central Business District and key local attractions.

We are looking for a passionate pastry professional who takes pride in creating exceptional products and delivering consistently high standards. In this role, you will oversee daily pastry production, preparing a diverse range of desserts, pastries, cakes, breads, and specialty items across our Dock 37 Restaurant, Banqueting, Club Lounge and High Tea.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce a range of desserts, pastries, cakes, breads, petit fours, and specialty items.

• Coordinate daily pastry production to meet service and function requirements.

• Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are maintained at all times.

• Assist with the development of seasonal menus and new pastry offerings.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work environment.

• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
  

Ideally you will have:

• Previous experience in a pastry-focused role within a hotel, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment.

• Strong technical pastry skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.

• Passion for quality, creativity, and continuous improvement.

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

• Flexible approach to rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays
