ESS Defence delivers food service and hospitality support to Defence sites across Australia. We provide high quality meals that support the wellbeing of Australian Defence Force personnel.

We are seeking a reliable Chef or Cook for our team at HMAS Penguin, Mosman. This full-time role is ideal for candidates with commercial kitchen or catering experience looking for a stable role in a structured environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare buffet-style meals for daily service and functions
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
• Assist with stock control, deliveries and kitchen operations
• Support function and event service
• Deliver consistent quality and presentation

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Certificate III or relevant kitchen experience
• Experience in commercial kitchens or bulk cooking
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards
• Strong attention to detail and organisation
• Reliable with a team focused approach
