Sous Chef | Blue Tongue Bar + Kitchen Elwood, VIC
Blue Tongue has been a fixture on the Elwood strip for decades — a neighbourhood bar and kitchen with a loyal local following and a team that cares about what they do.
We're looking for a Sous Chef to work closely with our Head Chef and help lead a small, close-knit kitchen team.
About the role
This is a hands-on role for an experienced chef who is comfortable leading a kitchen, maintaining standards, and contributing to the direction of the menu. You'll play a key part in the day-to-day running of the kitchen and step up to lead service when required.
What you'll bring
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
The ability to lead and support a small team through busy service
Consistent standards across food quality, prep, and presentation
A working knowledge of food safety requirements
A good attitude and the kind of energy that makes a kitchen a better place to be
Availability across evenings and weekends
