Chef – Full Time
Stockmans Motel Pty Ltd – Tamworth NSW

Due to the continued growth of our business, Stockmans Motel & Restaurant is seeking an experienced and passionate Full-Time Chef to join our kitchen team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and well-established hospitality venue with a reputation for quality food and excellent customer service.

Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 per annum plus superannuation

Visa sponsorship may be available for suitably qualified and experienced candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs
• Preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a busy kitchen environment
• Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Working closely with management and kitchen staff regarding food preparation and service requirements
• Demonstrating cooking techniques and assisting with staff training and development
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
• Assisting with stock control, ordering and cost management
• Ensuring compliance with all food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
• Supervising and mentoring junior kitchen staff when required

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef in a busy commercial kitchen
• Relevant trade qualifications preferred
• Experience training, developing and mentoring kitchen teams
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Passion for quality food and customer satisfaction
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
