CHEESECAKE CHEF

PASTRY CHEF / DESSERT ENTHUSIAST / CHEESECAKE SPECIALIST

Basque is a boutique cake shop, cafe & wine bar located in Chirn Park on the Gold Coast. We pride ourselves on having some of the best cakes and desserts in the area and we are looking for a talented pastry chef / dessert enthusiast / cheesecake specialist to join our team. We are looking for someone who can help in the kitchen; decorating cakes, plating desserts, and slicing large quantities of cheesecake.

• Casual / Part-Time

• 15 - 20 Hours a week

• Must be available Fridays & Saturday

• Afternoon & evening shifts

The role covers a wide variety of tasks which may include:

• Preparation and service (plating) of desserts, tarts, cakes and pastries

• Portioning of cakes and desserts

• Decorating cakes

• Kitchen hand duties including washing dishes, general cleaning and polishing glassware

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar hospitality role. Relevant certifications are also a plus. Candidate must have full working rights in Australia. Our ideal candidate should possess the following skills / characteristics:
