Inexterior Cafe is seeking a talented Casual or Part-Time Chef to join our kitchen team in Ballarat, VIC. What you'll be doing

1. Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards

2. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace and cooking equipment

3. Managing food inventory and assisting with stock rotation to ensure freshness and quality

4. Collaborating with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations during service

5. Following food safety and hygiene protocols at all times

6. Contributing creative ideas for menu items and seasonal specials

7. Assisting with food preparation, plating and garnishing to ensure consistency and visual appeal

8. Responding promptly to customer feedback and adapting dishes when necessary

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience working as a chef or cook in a professional kitchen environment

2. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and culinary practices

3. Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene and allergen management

4. Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining quality standards

5. Strong communication and teamwork skills with a collaborative attitude

6. Flexibility and adaptability to casual or part-time scheduling arrangements

7. Passion for delivering excellent food and customer satisfaction

8. Current food safety certification or willingness to obtain it

9. Attention to detail and pride in your culinary work

10. Must have valid Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
