About the Breakfast Chef role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Breakfast Chef to join The Rebelo Group in Newstead, QLD. This is a part-time position offering flexibility whilst maintaining the high culinary standards we are renowned for. As a Breakfast Chef, you will be instrumental in creating memorable morning dining experiences for our guests, setting the tone for their day with delicious, expertly prepared breakfast offerings. This role plays a vital part in our hospitality operations, ensuring consistency, quality and creativity across all breakfast services.
Part time Shifts are Sat 8hrs & Sun 7hrs
Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items including eggs, pastries, cereals, fruits and hot beverages to order and according to established recipes and presentation standards
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Manage breakfast mise en place, ensuring all ingredients and equipment are prepared and readily available before service begins
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and prompt meal preparation
Respond to special dietary requirements and requests from guests with professionalism and creativity
Maintain equipment such as grills, fryers and coffee machines in good working order and report any issues promptly
Support the training and development of junior kitchen staff when required
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a similar breakfast role within a high volume hospitality establishment
Strong knowledge of breakfast preparation techniques and ability to prepare a diverse range of breakfast items to a consistently high standard
Proficiency in food safety and hygiene practices, with current or willingness to obtain relevant certifications
Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach to working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Ability to take direction and work flexibly within the part-time schedule as required
Creativity and passion for food, with an enthusiasm for delivering exceptional guest experiences
Experience with kitchen management systems and ordering procedures is advantageous
