Regional and remote Queensland venues — country pubs, outback hotels, and remote roadhouses. We are looking for experienced chefs who are ready to travel, work hard, and earn well while seeing parts of Queensland most people only drive through.
  
These are not glamorous resort contracts. Regional pub work is real, honest cooking — high-volume bistro service, daily specials, and the expectation that you can run a kitchen with minimal support. If that sounds like your kind of work, you will fit right in.
  
What's in it for you?  

• Excellent hourly rates with full penalty rates for every Saturday, Sunday, public holiday, and overtime hour.
• Your travel to and from the venue is fully covered, accommodation is provided for the duration of your contract. You arrive, cook, and go home with almost everything you earned still in your pocket.
• Contracts range from one week to three months or longer, and we work around your availability. Whether you want to fill a few weeks between other work or you are looking for a longer stretch away, we can match you to the right contract.
• Our Brisbane-based team stays in contact throughout every placement— you are never just dropped at a venue and forgotten.  

What We Are Looking For  

• Chefs who can hit the ground running. You will often be the most experienced person in the kitchen, so the ability to work independently and keep standards high without supervision is essential.
• You need a minimum of 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience in a commercial kitchen with solid bistro and à la carte skills.
• Experience in a regional, country, or high-volume pub environment.
• Be physically fit and comfortable with remote or semi-remote living for the duration of a contract. If you have a valid driver's licence, this is also a bonus.
• Reliability is everything in regional work. A venue that is three hours from the nearest city cannot recover from a no-show. If you accept a contract, you see it through.  

This is NOT for you if:
  
You have never worked in a high-volume bistro or pub kitchen environment. You are uncomfortable with remote or semi-remote living arrangements. You struggle with working independently or adapting quickly to a new kitchen. You have a history of abandoning contracts early without genuine cause.
