Are you a chef who thrives in a fast‑paced, well‑organised kitchen? Caloundra Power Boat Club is seeking a Sous Chef and Line Chef to join our busy Quarterdeck Restaurant team. Working closely with our Head Chef, you’ll help deliver high‑quality meals with consistency, efficiency and strong food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu execution — Prepare and cook dishes to Club recipes, portioning and presentation standards.

  • Workstation management — Maintain a clean, organised and well‑stocked section.

  • Prep & batch cooking — Assist with daily prep, stock rotation and efficient service readiness.

  • Food safety — Ensure correct handling, storage, labelling and hygiene practices.

  • Service flow — Work collaboratively to maintain ticket times and smooth service.

  • Equipment care — Monitor equipment and report faults promptly.

  • Waste minimisation — Support zero‑waste principles through correct prep and portion control.

  • Team support — Assist other stations as needed and contribute to a positive kitchen culture.

  • Compliance — Follow all WHS, food safety and Club policies.

Key Qualifications

  • Commercial kitchen experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene.

  • Ability to follow recipes, portioning and plating standards.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work independently once trained.

  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing manual tasks.

  • Desirable: Club/pub/bistro experience and/or Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
