About the role
We are seeking a talented Commis Chef to join our vibrant team at The Boathouse Tavern in Coomera, Queensland. As a Commis Chef, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking high-quality pub classics and dishes our locals love. What you'll be doing
Assisting the Head Chef and other chefs in preparing high-quality dishes
Following recipes and kitchen procedures to ensure consistency and food safety
Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
Helping with food preparation tasks such as chopping, dicing, and portioning
Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient and timely service
Adhering to health and safety regulations in the kitchen
What we're looking for
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (completed).
Experience in a busy restaurant, bistro, or hotel kitchen.
A genuine love for great food and a hunger to learn and grow.
Strong understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen procedures.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
High standards of presentation, cleanliness, and teamwork.
